My daughter recently acquired a Native American Bead Loom (made in Taiwan, which apparently was where the Cherokee settled after walking the Trail of Tears) with the noble intent of making friendship bracelets.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with them, Friendship Bracelets are basically the Native American equivalent of a Myspace Friend Request.

Let me explain . . . 

For those of you who think porn is something a little bit idiotic or a bit of harmless fun, let me now inform you that it is more, much more, than that.

In fact, it is a little known fact that porn drives the development of technology.

I consider myself to be a pretty laid back sort of person, not a trace of OCD.  I really don't care enough about so many things to have it ... pink sock, black sock?  Who cares if they are hidden under boots, and don't even think about matching underwear.  The only way my underwear matches on is that both top and bottoms are clean. 

Despite what the fine folks at the Gerber Company would like you to believe, not all newborns are cute.

Aside from their normal functions, cell phones may soon have several new uses.  And I’m not talking about bracelet phones, mobile TV, or high speed internet connections.  Something entirely different is on the horizon for the mobile phone industry.

It's a known fact: we all have grandparents or did have them at one time.  And sometimes, if those grandparents live long enough, they may suffer from a form of dementia.  Forgetting a name, making a peanut butter and tomato sandwich, talking to people not there (including dead people). 

About 6 or 7 years ago I met, through work, a very handsome and established guy. We’ll call him Tarzan. Tarzan was SO nice and SO handsome but, our schedules never matched up. Finally, one weekend - as I was flying back from a weekend in Nantucket - he called and asked if I wanted to get together that night to watch Sex and the City, a man after my own heart. I said sure and invited him over knowing that the only TV in my apartment with cable was in the bedroom. Whoops.
