F. Lawrence Caslin:  Ross Cavins will soon be releasing his first book, "Follow The Money," and we have an exclusive interview with him here on Scrivel.com.  Ross, tell everyone a little about your book.

Ross Cavins:  Well, first, I should say that it's a collection of interconnected short stories.

Caslin:  It says that on the cover.

Ross Cavins:  I know, I just ... so, there are eleven stories in all and--

Caslin:  Why eleven?

Ross Cavins:  (pauses and looks at Caslin, clears throat)  There are eleven because that's how it worked out.

Caslin:  You couldn't think of twelve?

Ross Cavins:  Actually, now that you mention it, I was originally going to write fifteen stories, but--

Caslin:  So you're cheating your readers out of four stories?  What happened to those other four?

Ross Cavins:  (pauses again)  There aren't four other stories.  There's just the eleven.  I think eleven's enough.

Caslin:  Why not a round number?  I mean, thirteen is known as a Baker's Dozen.  Or you could have put out an even dozen.

Ross Cavins:  That's not the point.  Look, eleven or thirteen or fifteen stories, it doesn't matter.

Caslin:  (stares at Ross Cavins)  Okay, we'll come back to that.  Tell us about the title and the theme of the stories.

Ross Cavins:  Okay.  The theme is obviously money.  And the title tells the reader what the book's about, following the money.

(Caslin covers the mic with his hand and says something to the engineer while Ross Cavins watches, distracted)

Image Ross Cavins:  In the first story, we begin with $3 million dollars changing hands.  Then in each subsequent story, the same money changes hands and each story follows that money and the characters around it.  Hence, "Follow The Money."

(Caslin whispers to the engineer who smiles back)

Ross Cavins:  Is there something else you'd rather be doing?

Caslin:  (looks at Ross Cavins)  I'm sorry.  What?

Ross Cavins:  I said, is there anywhere else you'd rather be?  You got something more important than this interview going on?

Caslin:  Actually, yeah.  Can we wrap this up?

(Ross Cavins stares at Caslin, mouth open)

Caslin:  Thank you for joining us today.  If you want to know more about Ross Cavins' upcoming book, "Follow The Money," to be released around the beginning of December, you can go to his website at http://www.RossCavins.com .  I'm sure he's got more about it there.  Thanks for tuning in.  Next week we have someone who's written a real book ...
