It's a strange new world that we live in. In ye olden days, men worked fifteen hours down the pit and came home all smeared in coal dust and went out and had a pint. And if the wife wouldn't let them ride her at the end of the night, well, the man would cheerfully mount any willing filly (or woman) in an approximately half mile radius of his house. Be that the sexy sloven who worked at the pub, the local bike, or, more typically, some friend of his wife's with whom he arranged an ongoing bout of hide the salami. Lots of fun and ... lots of chances of getting found out. ![]() What foreplay looked like in ye olden days With a few clicks of the mouse, a potential cheater has instant access to an endless array of willing partners. A cyber affair can be easily initiated and conducted from the privacy of your home, with your unsuspecting spouse or significant other in the same room, oblivious to what is going on. But ... and this is the big but ... should I even have used the word 'cheater'? Because, honestly, I don't really know if having a cyber affair is cheating or not. And what I really want to know is, if you do it, then why do you do it? What is the motivation? And since no one is probably going to admit to having one, I also want to know ... what do you get out of it? Do you like the validation you get from turning another person on? Do you get a thrill out of having this 'secret life?' Do you think a cyber affair jeopordizes your existing relationship, or not? (use the comment feature below)
